The Freestyle Yoga Project - dynamic vinyasa yoga

UK-based MARK FREETH has been practicing yoga for 14 years and teaching full-time for 9. For most of that time, he's been an ashtanga vinyasa man, but over the last couple of years he's been experimenting and playing with the practice, and looking outside of the 'ashtanga box', especially after having been influenced by the Kula Yoga Project in NYC and Edward Clark of Tripsichore Yoga. He eventually founded 'The Freestyle Yoga Project', focusing on encouraging students to explore further what their bodies and minds are capable of without any particular allegience to one form of yoga or another. Mark considers his practice and teaching to be dynamic, vinyasa yoga, with special emphasis on vinyasa krama - the linking of breath & movement-related postures towards a particular end - whether it be handstands, leg-behind-head or that elusive jump-back/jump-thru. All of which leads to an informal, but challenging vibe from an experienced and inspirational instructor. All are welcome, - whatever yogic discipline you come from. But bear in mind, we will be working hard. Bring an open mind, childlike courage and a sense of humour!
