“I am trying to keep my understanding of Yoga uncomplicated. The Asanas are an invitation to keep the body active and open so that we can keep our perception and communication unclouded. It is possible to become sensitive mainly by being open. To try difficult poses is fun, like playing a game. Whether you can do them or not, it’s an opportunity to get to know your mental and physical boundaries. It’s a journey you take step by step. The essential thing is always to ‘Be’. It’s not a case of doing it, mastering it or succeeding. It’s to ‘Be’. In many ways, yoga is to live in a practice which expands the sense of Being. Up to this day it has been the world that I was most happy to discover. This is a happy, playful and creative world. During this week, the work we’ll do while experiencing the riches of this world will include asana practice in the mornings and discussion, sharing and resting or meditation practice in the afternoons.”
